HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE

Few students of WWI aircraft can fail to be familiar with the AVRO 504 in her various guises. She served for many years as a trainer with both the RFC and the RAF, saw action as a night fighter and even continued to serve after WWI had ended. Although the model depicted is more or less a standard 504, because of her length of service and the variety of roles she fulfilled, minor alterations will provide a lot of variety with this model. Omitting the front cockpit and replacing the gravity tank with a Lewis gun gives you the night fighter, while the example could have either the tank or the gun.
